Job summary

Toyota North America is seeking a Production Engineer to support Body Weld (BOGI) equipment, processes, and new model project execution. You will lead planning, feasibility studies, and ROI evaluation for capital initiatives that advance safety, quality, productivity, and cost targets.

This role requires strong CAD skills (AutoCAD, Inventor, Catia), cross-functional teamwork, and the ability to travel up to 20% to North American locations and Japan as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in production engineering or equipment development.
• Ability to read drawings and use CAD tools (AutoCAD, Inventor, Catia).

Responsibilities

• Lead Body Weld project planning for new model and capital projects.
• Perform layout and process optimization to improve efficiency.
• Develop equipment scopes, specs, and installation plans.
• Coordinate procurement, installation, and trials with internal and external teams.
• Ensure safety, quality, and production readiness for implementations.
• Collaborate with maintenance, safety, logistics, and other stakeholders.
