Job summary

Russ Darrow Group in Waukesha, WI is seeking a motivated Body Shop Technician to repair and refinish damaged vehicle body parts according to factory and dealership specifications. You will use hand tools, power tools, and spray painting equipment, including dealer prep work.

The role involves inspecting vehicles, estimating repair costs, and performing repairs with efficiency and accuracy. Training and development are available within a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Technical Institute/training preferred.
• Experience in automotive frame repair is a plus; I-Car certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examine damaged vehicles and estimate repair costs.
• Perform work as outlined per repair estimate with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory specifications.
• Use power tools, cleaning agents, oils and fluids as needed.
• Perform welding, soldering, body alignment and oxidizing operations.
• Paint surfaces after performing body repairs.
• Diagnose, repair or replace defective mechanical parts.
• Document all work performed.

Summary

The Body Shop Technician repairs and refinishes damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles in accordance with factory and dealership specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and spray painting equipment. Technicians will also do dealer prep work.

Pay: $25-$35 per hour flat rate

Qualifications: Requirements

• Dependable and ethical with a good safety record
• High attention to detail
• High school diploma or GED; Technical Institute/training preferred
• Experienced in automotive frame repair a plus
• I-Car certification preferred
• Working knowledge of all aspects of repairs for damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles.
• Valid driver's license.
