Job summary

Russ Darrow Madison Kia in Madison, WI is seeking a Body Shop Technician to repair and refinish damaged body parts and vehicles according to factory and dealership specs. You’ll use hand tools, power tools, and spray equipment; dealer prep work is included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Technical Institute/training preferred.
• Experience in automotive frame repair is a plus.
• I-Car certification preferred.
• Working knowledge of repairs for damaged vehicle parts and bodies.

Responsibilities

• Examine damaged vehicles and estimate repair costs.
• Perform work as outlined per repair estimate with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory specifications.
• Use power tools, parts cleaning agents, oils and fluids as needed.
• Perform welding, soldering, body alignment and oxidizing operations.
• Paint surfaces after performing body repairs.
• Diagnose, repair or replace defective mechanical parts.
• Document all work performed

• Valid driver's license.
