Now, for those job details:

We’re expanding our team ofDiesel Technicians by adding a Body Technician at our new shop in Hudson, IL! In this role, you will perform body repairs on semi-trucks and possibly some trailers. You’ll need a safety-first mindset, strong organizational skills, and ideally 1+ years of experience as a heavy-duty collision repair technician. We need working equipment ready to go at all times, so this role is critical to Nussbaum’s success! Your duties include:

• Managing tractor painted parts inventory
• Repairing and painting parts
• Making small to medium repairs to tractors
• Write estimates when needed on equipment you are working on
• Verify and inspect work performed by other shops while the tractor was out on the road
• Recondition trucks for sale
• Follow safe work practices
• Maintain an organized, stocked, and clean work area
• All other duties as assigned by your supervisor

Schedule

• Full-time position: hiring for 1 st
• Shift availability based on company needs at the time of hire.
• Location: 19336 N 1425 E Rd. Hudson IL 61748.
• Pay range: Based on skills and experience.

• Experience working on the Freightliner Cascadia platform.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other automotive systems.
• Able to navigate online resource material and recommended practices.
• Team player – interacts well with others, respectful, gives/receives feedback with grace and honesty.
• Desires continual learning – always looking to grow, both personally and professionally.
• Effective communication with colleagues and superiors.
• Experience with cab & sheet metal repair, composite repair, bonding, surface preparation, fiberglass repair, alignment, and welding
• Basic toolkit and toolbox. (DA sander, grinder, basic hand tools, sockets, wrenches and impact gun)

Qualifications(Preferred but not required)

• 1+ Years experience working in heavy duty collision industry
• Ability to paint and perform heavy duty collision repair
• Welding certificate or 1+ year of experience
• PPG Painting Certified.
