Job summary

Hunter Truck in Butler, PA is seeking a Body Shop Technician to join our team. You will repair damaged body parts and prepare vehicles for repair in line with dealership standards, while maintaining safety and quality.

We offer a $5,000 sign-on bonus for collision experience, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for training and advancement within a family-owned dealership.

Qualifications

• Education & Experience: 4+ years of related experience and/or training.
• Certificates: Valid Driver’s License required; must meet insurability standards.
• Preferred Training: Aluminum repair, welding, electronics for collision repair.

Responsibilities

• Repair damaged body parts and vehicle bodies according to factory and dealership standards.
• Prepare vehicles for body repair work and ensure parts match estimates.
• Notify management of additional repairs or delays that may impact quality or schedule.
• Maintain and safely operate all tools and equipment.
• Wear respirator and PPE as recommended.
• Comply with laws regarding paint, thinners, and hazardous materials.
• Cooperate with team and assist in prepping and repairing vehicles.
• Keep work area clean and adhere to health and safety policies.

POSITION AT A GLANCE

Location: Butler, PA

Position Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

What You’ll Do

• Repair damaged body parts and vehicle bodies according to factory and dealership standards
• Prepare vehicles for body repair work and ensure parts match estimates
• Notify management of additional repairs, challenges, or delays that may impact quality or schedule
• Maintain and safely operate all tools and equipment
• Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment, including respirator, as recommended
• Comply with all laws and regulations regarding paint, thinners, and hazardous materials
• Cooperate with team members and assist in prepping and repairing vehicles
• Keep work area clean and organized while adhering to all health and safety policies

What You Bring

• Education & Experience: 4+ years of related experience and/or training (or an equivalent combination)
• Certificates & Licenses: Valid Driver’s License required; must meet company insurability standards.
• Additional Training (Preferred):
  • Aluminum Repair; Replacement and Welding
  • Electronics for Collision Repair
  • Glass Replacement; Plastic Repair
  • Steering and Suspension; Understanding Collision Repair
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials; Manufacturer Training
  • Frame and Alignment Equipment Experience
• Physical Requirements: Ability to regularly stand, walk; use of hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds occasionally lift/move more than 100 pounds.
