Job summary

Hunter Truck is seeking an expert-level Body Shop Technician at our Scranton, PA location to restore heavy-duty trucks by repairing damaged body parts and performing collision repairs. The role leverages automotive collision skills in a truck environment, using familiar processes and tools.

You will join a team focused on safety, efficiency, and quality, working a steady schedule Mon-Fri with a sign-on bonus up to $5,000 and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of related experience and/or training (or an equivalent combination).
• Valid Driver’s License required; CDL not required but preferred.
• Aluminum repair; Replacement and Welding (additional training).
• Electronics for Collision Repair (additional training).
• Glass Replacement; Plastic Repair (additional training).
• Steering and Suspension; Understanding Collision Repair (additional training).
• Workplace Hazardous Materials; Manufacturer Training (additional training).
• Frame and Alignment Equipment Experience (additional training).

Responsibilities

• Repair damaged body parts and vehicle bodies according to factory and dealership standards
• Prepare vehicles for body repair work and ensure parts match estimates
• Notify management of additional repairs, challenges, or delays that may impact quality or schedule
• Maintain and safely operate all tools and equipment
• Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment, including respirator, as recommended
• Cooperate with team members and assist in prepping and repairing vehicles
• Keep work area clean and organized while adhering to all health and safety policies

POSITION AT A GLANCE

• Branch Location : 2900 Stafford Avenue Scranton, PA 18505
• Schedule : Full-Time, Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm
• Sign-On Bonus: Earn up to $5,000 for Collision Experience!

What You’ll Do

As a Body Shop Technician, your role is to restore heavy-duty trucks by repairing damaged body parts and performing collision repairs. You will:

• Repair damaged body parts and vehicle bodies according to factory and dealership standards
• Prepare vehicles for body repair work and ensure parts match estimates
• Notify management of additional repairs, challenges, or delays that may impact quality or schedule
• Maintain and safely operate all tools and equipment
• Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment, including respirator, as recommended
• Cooperate with team members and assist in prepping and repairing vehicles
• Keep work area clean and organized while adhering to all health and safety policies

What You Bring

• Education & Experience: 4+ years of related experience and/or training (or an equivalent combination)
• Certificates & Licenses: Valid Driver’s License required; must meet company insurability standards. CDL not required but preferred.

• Physical Requirements: Ability to regularly stand, walk; use of hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds occasionally lift/move more than 100 pounds.
