Job summary

Toyota of North Charlotte, a Hudson Automotive Company, is actively seeking Experienced Automotive Body Shop Technicians to join our award winning, high-volume service team in Huntersville, NC. The role offers up to $120k yearly earning potential and production bonuses.

Qualifications

• 5+ years collision technician experience required.
• Knowledge of factory specifications and dealership standards.
• ASE certifications preferred but not required, relevant certifications listed below.

Responsibilities

• Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Repair collision damaged vehicles according to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
• Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
• Maintains and wears all required safety and health PPE, including respirator.
• Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials and reports deviations to management.
• Documents all work performed on the repair order.
• Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test technician.
• Supervises work of any apprentice technicians as assigned.
• Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
• Keeps work area neat and clean.
• Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals.
• Understands and complies with federal, state, and local regulations affecting body shop operations.

What you'll do:

• Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials and reports any deviations to management.
• Documents all work performed on the repair order.
• Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test technician.
• Supervises work of any apprentice technicians as assigned.
• Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
• Keep work area neat and clean.
• Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as they were received.
• Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
• Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
