Strong communication, organization, and ability to manage multiple estimates are essential, as is maintaining accurate records and photos for claims.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Body Shop Estimator or in collision repair preferred.
• Knowledge of collision repair processes, parts, and labor estimating.
• Experience with CCC ONE, Mitchell, or comparable estimating software.
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with insurance companies, technicians, and management.

Responsibilities

John Jones Auto Group is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Body Shop Estimator to join our team. This position is responsible for evaluating vehicle damage, preparing accurate repair estimates, working with insurance companies, and coordinating with body shop technicians to ensure quality repairs and exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of collision repair procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple repair estimates efficiently.

Responsibilities

Estimating & Damage Assessment

• Inspect vehicles to assess collision damage and determine necessary repairs.

• Prepare accurate and detailed repair estimates, including labor, parts, materials, and repair procedures.

• Identify additional damage and prepare supplemental estimates as needed.

• Utilize estimating software such as CCC ONE, Mitchell, or similar systems.

• Ensure estimates follow manufacturer repair procedures and industry standards.

Customer Service & Insurance Coordination

• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers throughout the estimating and repair process.

• Communicate repair estimates, timelines, and procedures clearly to customers.

• Work directly with insurance adjusters to obtain repair approvals and resolve estimate discrepancies.

• Provide regular updates regarding repair status, delays, and completion dates.

• Address customer questions and concerns professionally and promptly.

Body Shop Operations

• Coordinate with body shop management, technicians, and parts personnel to ensure accurate repair planning.

• Review repair orders to verify all necessary parts, labor, and services are included.

• Monitor repair progress and assist in resolving delays or additional repair needs.

• Maintain accurate documentation, repair orders, photographs, and insurance records.

• Assist in ensuring completed repairs meet company quality and customer satisfaction standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous experience as a Body Shop Estimator or in collision repair preferred.

• Knowledge of automotive collision repair processes, parts, and labor estimating.

• Experience with CCC ONE, Mitchell, or comparable estimating software preferred.

• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work effectively with insurance companies, technicians, and management.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company insurance requirements if driving is required.

• I-CAR or ASE certifications are a plus.
