Job summary

Hireology in Columbia, TN is seeking a diligent Body Shop Estimator to assess vehicle damage, prepare accurate repair estimates, and communicate options to customers and insurers. You will use CCC One or Audatex to generate estimates and coordinate with insurance companies for approvals.

Responsibilities include ordering parts, tracking repairs, and maintaining organized records. A high school diploma is required; automotive repair knowledge and prior estimator experience are preferred.

Qualifications

We are seeking a diligent and experienced Body Shop Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for automobiles and a keen eye for detail. As a Body Shop Estimator, you will be responsible for assessing vehicle damage, preparing accurate repair estimates, and communicating effectively with customers and insurance companies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess the extent of repairs needed
• Prepare detailed and accurate repair estimates using industry-standard software
• Communicate with customers to explain repair options and provide cost estimates
• Coordinate with insurance companies to obtain approval for repairs and negotiate repair costs when necessary
• Order necessary parts and materials for repairs
• Monitor repair progress and ensure work is completed according to scheduleAddress any customer concerns or questions throughout the repair process
• Maintain organized records of estimates, repairs, and customer interactions

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Body Shop Estimator or similar role in the automotive industry
• Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., CCC One, Audatex)
• Strong knowledge of automotive repair techniques and procedures
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Familiarity with insurance claims processes and procedures is preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training in automotive repair is a plus
