DARCARS Automotive Group is now hiring an Experienced Body Shop Estimator!

Potential earnings based on experience

As a Body Shop Estimator, you will inspect and appraise customer vehicles to determine repair costs for damages, billed as insurance claims or customer expenses. This role involves working directly with customers and insurance companies to ensure a seamless repair process while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

1. Examine damage to customer vehicles to identify structural, body, mechanical, or interior damages
2. Estimate repair costs, including supplies, parts, and labor
3. Calculate customer payments, including deductibles for repairs
4. Manage the claim process by obtaining estimates from insurance companies and reviewing with insurance adjusters
5. Explain estimates and vehicle return expectations to customers
6. Maintain high-quality repairs and minimize rework
7. Conduct spot checks of completed jobs for quality assurance
8. Reconcile and prepare final invoices matching approved estimates

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 3+ years of automotive estimating experience
• Knowledge of major insurance protocols and ability to upload estimates/images accordingly
• Prior estimating experience preferred
• I-CAR or other industry training
• Automotive certifications are a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum age of 18 years
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to pass pre-employment background screening
