Pat Milliken Ford, Inc. in Redford Charter Township, MI, seeks an assistant manager for our new 23,000+ sq ft collision center. This hands-on role oversees body shop staff, schedules work, and maintains high customer satisfaction at one of the region's premier Ford dealers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of body shop management and automotive customer service experience.
• Strong communication with customers, staff and vendors.
• Hands-on leadership in a fast-paced collision center.

Responsibilities

• Help manage Body Shop Clerk & Technician staff, scheduling payroll and tools.
• Ensure Technician workflows are efficient and customer needs are prioritized.
• Manage technician productivity and document all repairs and orders.
• Oversee vehicle washing, waxing and revitalizing processes.
• Interact with external vendors on parts inventory.
• Maintain department profitability while controlling expenses.
• Understand federal, state, and local regulations affecting operations.
• This is a hands-on, working position.

Responsibilities:

• Help manage Body Shop Clerk & Technician staff, assisting with scheduling, payroll, inventory & tool needs
• Ensure Technician's workflows are going smoothly and customer needs are prioritized
• Managing technician productivity
• Document all repairs & orders properly
• Oversee vehicle washing, waxing, revitalizing processes
• Interacting with external vendors on parts inventory
• Required to maintain the profitability of a department while controlling expenses and maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Required to understand and keep abreast of all federal, state and local regulations that affect their operations.
• Effective vehicle production and inventory control
• This is a hands-on, working position

Requirements:

• Strong communication skills to deal with customers, employees and vendors.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• At least 5 years of body shop management and automotive customer service experience
• A hard-working can-do attitude
• Excellent interpersonal and management skills
