Job summary

Toyota North America is seeking a Body Robot SE Engineer for a 12-month contract in Georgetown, KY. The role focuses on supporting new model SE studies with 3D factory modeling and offline robot teaching tools (C3).

Responsibilities include studying welding processes, estimating cycle times, providing design feedback, and supporting Bodyweld model change activities with SE and Process Engineering teams. Relocation to Georgetown KY is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or 5 years related experience.
• Experience with welding robots in manufacturing.
• Experience with offline robot programming software.
• Ability to work overtime, including weekends, holidays & shutdown periods, and across multiple shifts to support tooling modifications and installation.
• Average overtime is typically 5 hours/week; peak overtime may be 20 hours/week.
• 1-5 years experience and proficiency with 3D CAD.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work up to 55 hours a week.
• Willing to relocate and work in Georgetown KY.

Responsibilities

• Study welding processes for feasibility.
• Estimate robotic welding process cycle time.
• Provide feedback on design concepts.
• Support the SE and Process Engineering teams for Bodyweld model change activities.
• Communicate study outcomes to primary and secondary stakeholders.
• Work across multiple data formats to develop robot welding strategies.
