The Boca Raton is seeking an experienced Floral Shop Manager in Boca Raton, FL. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of floral experience in a supervisory role, can create and install floral and décor products, and will oversee staff, client appointments, samples, and site coordination.

The role requires driving a van or truck to deliver and set up events, coordinating with production staff, and ensuring client satisfaction.

• Understand/Speak/Read/Write English fluently.

• Assist with planning of events.
• Assist with samples and up selling.
• Perform ordering duties on own with floral manager's request.
• Drive van, truck and deliver and setup events.
• Attend monthly employee meeting.
• Supervises daily in overseeing team duties.
• Supervise on setups and installations cross checking load sheet to items before transporting.
• Plant Care and Maintenance in clients’ residences.
• Willingness to do Miami trip to retrieve floral orders.

Salary Range: $21.00 To $21.50 Hourly

Summary

The ideal candidate must have a total knowledge of floral product and quality floral design with at least 5 years of floral experience. Must have the ability to create original designs, copy and mass produce arrangements in quantity. Needs to have experience ordering florals and floral production. Experience in plant installation and plant care. Experience supervising floral shop and floral associates. The ability to read and understand written proposals. The ability to work well within a diversified, creative group of persons to ensure client satisfaction. Experience in handling client appointments, samples, sites. Must have good phone and sales abilities. Oversee Flower Shop during Managers absence. Must have a flexible schedule.

Essential Functions

Job duties include, although are not limited to:

• Work well within a diversified, creative group of persons to ensure client satisfaction.
• Must be able to perform duties of floral shop manager to assist her to handle more client appointments, samples, sites and attract new business opportunities and clients.
• Must be able to create and install new and creative floral and décor products.
• To Develop a working knowledge of all properties serviced by Boca By Design.
• Develop good phone / sales abilities.
• Oversee all off property plant contracts.
• Ability to answer phone and take orders.
• Set up and prep floral containers.
• Design and lead Mass-produce floral arrangements and floral staff.
• Produce daily vases and other arrangements at floral manager's request.
• Ensure client satisfaction.
• Report damaged and missing items.
• Insure a safe working environment.
• Assist production staff when instructed to by floral manager when setting up events.
• Clean floor and prepare floral dept. after days work.
• Assist in installing table linen, chair covers and sashes when needed and instructed to do so by floral manager. Assist in fabric installations upon manager's request.
• Assist with planning of events.
• Assist with samples and up selling.
• Perform ordering duties on own with floral manager's request.
• Drive van, truck and deliver and setup events.
• Must have flexible schedule.
• Attend monthly employee meeting.
• Supervises daily in overseeing team duties.

Qualifications

Education/Experience Requirements

• Must be able to sit, stand, stoop or bend for duration of shift (at least 8 hours)
• Must be able to lift, carry up to 50+ lbs.
• Be comfortable driving box truck and van.

Physical Requirements

Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. It requires walking or standing to a significant degree, as well as reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing.
