Job summary

Shute Oil & Propane in Rudyard Township, MI is seeking a propane delivery driver with a valid CDL. You will load, transport, and unload propane products, while maintaining safety and compliance at all times and providing professional service at customer locations.

You will participate in on-call rotations and must hold Hazmat and Tanker endorsements; a safe driving record is required. Benefits include health, retirement, PTO, life/AD&D, and disability coverage.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• Driving record that meets company insurance requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and pull up to 125 lbs in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Load, secure, transport, deliver, and unload propane products safely.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, DOT, and company safety requirements.
• Complete accurate service orders, documentation, and parts billing each day.
• Inspect vehicles and report maintenance or equipment needs promptly.
• Provide professional, courteous service at every customer location.
• Work collaboratively with service and dispatch teams to support operational goals.
• Participate in on-call rotations, including extended or after-hours work as needed.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Load, secure, transport, deliver, and unload propane products safely

Must Have

• Driving record that meets company insurance requirements

• Willingness to work on-call and outside regular hours when required
• Commitment to following safety procedures without exception

Nice to Have

• Comfort using basic computer systems for logging, inspections, and documentation
• Experience working directly with residential or commercial customers
• Familiarity with DOT inspections and compliance standards
