Job summary

Van Unen Miersma Propane is seeking a Propane Delivery Driver in California to deliver safely and represent the company at customer locations. You will load, transport, and unload propane, while maintaining compliance with DOT and safety standards.

In this role, you will perform vehicle inspections, handle paperwork and reporting, participate in on-call rotations, and provide professional, courteous service to residential and commercial customers.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• Driving record must meet company insurance requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and pull up to 125 lbs in all weather conditions.
• Willingness to work on-call and outside regular hours when required.
• Commitment to following safety procedures without exception.

Responsibilities

• Load, secure, transport, deliver, and unload propane safely.
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, DOT, and company safety requirements.
• Inspect vehicles and report maintenance or equipment needs promptly.

• Participate in on‑call rotations, including extended or after‑hours work as business needs require.

As a Propane Delivery Driver at Van Unen Miersma Propane, you’re not just moving product you’re the face of the company for customers who rely on propane every day. Your work directly impacts safety, reliability, and trust across our communities.

What Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days

• You’re consistently completing safe, on-time deliveries while following DOT, safety, and company standards.
• Customers recognize you as a reliable point of contact and trust you in their homes and facilities.
• Your truck inspections, paperwork, and electronic reporting are accurate and completed daily.
• You’re comfortable participating in the on-call rotation and communicating clearly when schedules change.

What You’ll Actually Do in Your First 30 Days

• Complete onboarding, safety training, and ride‑alongs to learn EDP delivery routes and procedures
• Perform daily vehicle inspections (DDVIR) and document findings accurately
• Begin independent deliveries with support from dispatch and service teams
• Learn how we communicate with customers, handle after‑hours calls, and elevate service needs appropriately

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Pay: $28-32 per hour (Depending on Experience)
