The New York City Department of Transportation, Division of Bridges is responsible for managing the full life cycle of over 800 bridges and tunnels and over 600 retaining walls, ensuring safety of the public and ensuring mobility for all users. Team members may work on major project designs, oversee construction, oversee maintenance activities, perform engineering reviews and quality assurance tasks on some of the most iconic and complex projects in the City.

To be eligible for placement in Assignment Level II, individuals must have, after meeting the minimum requirements, either one year served at Assignment Level I or one additional year of the experience described in "2" above.
Knowledge of government procurement and contracting regulations and statutes Demonstrated progressively responsible experience in coordinating and implementing complex contracts and procurement activities in a multifaceted governmental setting Hands-on experience with procurement and budgeting systems/applications similar to the City’s FMS3 and Passport applications Exposure to database/document management systems Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Excel and SharePoint Experience tracking and maintaining forward momentum of various projects across a large organization and Excellent oral and written communications capabilities are required as well as very good interpersonal and organizational skills.
