Job summary

West Marine seeks a Sales Associate to deliver exceptional customer service and a positive shopping experience. You will assist customers, recommend products, process transactions, and maintain organized displays to drive sales and loyalty.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, understanding needs, stock replenishment, and supporting BOPIS/ship-from-store. Prior boating/retail experience and strong communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Previous boating and/or retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers as they enter the store.
• Understand customer needs and provide product recommendations.
• Assist with selecting products and direct to correct aisles.
• Handle transactions, returns, and manage the register.
• Maintain pricing and product displays, ensure store cleanliness.
• Support BOPIS and ship-from-store processes.
• Flag security or loss prevention concerns and follow SOPs.
