Cornell University is seeking a Boating Coordinator to assist the Aquatics Director with the kayaking, circling, and standup paddleboarding programs. Responsibilities include conducting boat tests, training instructors, and ensuring safety conditions throughout the summer.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and as a boating instructor, along with a valid ACA evaluation. This seasonal position offers a salary between $5,500 and $7,200.
Assists the Aquatics Director with implementing and evaluating the kayaking, corcling, and standup paddleboarding program; conducts boat tests; trains boating instructors; sets up the H and F dock during orientation; sets up and maintains boating equipment; ensures safe conditions throughout the summer. Works with boating instructors, lifeguards, and the Aquatics Director to promote overall safety on and off the water. Provides leadership and guidance for ten campers and participates in the general planning of the camp program. Assists with all camp program activities and other camp-wide activities as assigned. Participates in staff meetings and training events as scheduled.
