Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Boat and Yacht Broker role based in the great lakes area specifically port clinton ohio area but all will be considered. The broker will manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting and qualifying leads, listing vessels, conducting showings, and guiding clients through offers, negotiations, and closing. Daily responsibilities include building relationships with boat and yacht owners and buyers, assessing vessel condition and market value, preparing listings and marketing materials, and responding promptly to inquiries. The role also involves coordinating surveys, sea trials, and documentation, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with internal team members to ensure an efficient and positive client experience. The broker is expected to meet sales targets, stay current on market trends, and represent Knot 10 Yacht Sales professionally within the local marine community.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with boats and yachting, including various vessel types and features.
• Familiarity with the marine industry, regional boating culture, and current market trends in boat and yacht sales.
• Background in brokerage, sales, or related fields with demonstrated ability to manage negotiations and close deals.
• Excellent customer service skills, including active listening, clear communication, and a client-focused mindset.
• Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships and networks within the boating community.
• Comfort working in an on-site environment, visiting marinas and boats, and conducting in-person showings.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail in documentation and follow-up.
• Proficiency with basic digital tools and CRM or sales software; ability to create compelling online listings.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; ability to travel within the Detroit Metropolitan Area as needed.
• Prior experience in yacht or boat brokerage, marine sales, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
