Job summary

SiMa.ai in San Jose, CA seeks a Sr Staff Engineer, Factory Board Test to define and drive the board-level test strategy for the MLSoC platform, architecting end-to-end test solutions across DfT, ICT, and functional test.

You will develop automated test programs in Python/C++, support high-volume manufacturing with CM partners, and lead failure analysis to improve test coverage and reliability; the role requires strong hardware and software integration with on-site presence.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 12+ years hardware engineering experience.
• 7+ years dedicated to PCB board test development and architecture.
• Hands-on ICT, flying-probe and functional board test across complex PCBA stacks.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the full board test strategy for high-speed PCBA.
• Collaborate with layout and hardware design teams to embed testability features.
• Architect and maintain functional test sequences and data logging tools.
• Develop test fixtures and bed-of-nails requirements; coordinate with fixture vendors.
• Develop automated test software in Python/C++ for bench instruments and MES/TDM integration.
• Drive defect analysis and RCCA with hardware and layout teams.
• Support CM test program transfers and sustaining engineering.
