Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a Hardware Board Design & Test Engineer to join our Santa Clara team. You will perform hands-on schematic design and PCB CAD work, working with PCIe/CXL, DDR, USB, UFS, and SerDes interfaces to ensure robust SI/PI.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate requirements and support DF Manufacturing. You will lead hardware testing, validation, and debugging efforts, applying root-cause analysis to improve product reliability and quality, while leveraging

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with schematic design and PCB CAD tools.
• Strong background with PCIe/CXL, DDR, USB, UFS, and SerDes technologies.
• Solid understanding of Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI).
• Experience in hardware lab environments with DSO, power supplies, BERTs, and traffic generators.
• Proficient in Python and Perl for automation and analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review hardware specifications and ensure design requirements are met.

Responsibilities

• Review hardware functional specifications with cross-functional teams.
• Verify DF Manufacturing guidelines with manufacturing teams.
• Evaluate test plans with Diagnostics and Hardware Test Engineers.
• Perform comprehensive hardware testing and validation to meet specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve reliability.
