Job summary

NDWA in the United States seeks a proactive Manager of Board Relations & Special Projects to support the Executive Office. You will manage board engagements for the Executive Director, develop communications strategies, and lead cross-team special projects.

You will coordinate meetings, prepare briefing materials, and assist with budgeting and security for the executive office. Domestic travel (~25%) is required.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in board and office operations, travel and calendar management.
  • Strong budgeting and retreat planning experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel domestically ~25%.
  • Proven ability to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all engagement with c3 and c4 Board of Directors on behalf of the Executive Director.
  • Develop a year-long communication strategy for interfacing with both boards.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on Board bylaws and related communications.
  • Schedule and execute all in-person and virtual board meetings and retreats.
  • Attend meetings, draft agendas, and record accurate minutes.
  • Support recruitment and transitions of board members to ensure governance continuity.
  • Prepare briefing documents for the Executive Director before meetings and events.
  • Attend meetings to take notes and assist with follow-up actions.
  • Coordinate email, scheduling, and planning to maximize Executive Director time.
  • Support budget tracking for the Executive Office and data management.
  • Assist with organizational project management and security protocols.
