Job summary

Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest is seeking a Board Relations Manager to support governance and operations of the PPPSW and PPAFSW Boards. You will coordinate board activities, manage governance processes, and serve as a liaison between board leadership and the organization.

Working with the President/CEO and senior staff, you will ensure effective board engagement, manage calendars and budgets, and maintain accurate board records to advance organizational priorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience - Required
  • 4+ years of experience supporting a Board of Directors (BOD), executive leadership, and key stakeholders - Required
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating board governance functions, including meeting management, bylaws, policies, and governance best practices - Required
  • 2+ years of experience supporting Director-, Vice President-, and/or C-level leaders, with a strong emphasis on meeting coordination, event planning, and executive support - Required
  • Strong organizational, project management, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines - Required
  • Experience supporting a Board Affairs, Executive Affairs, or Governance function within a nonprofit or mission-driven organization - Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with Board members to keep them engaged in the mission and ensure their talents are utilized.
  • Manage timelines for key Board actions, both for groups and individuals.
  • Support day-to-day Board operations for both c3 and c4 Boards, including agendas and materials.
  • Provide input to CEO and Chairs on priorities, discussions, timelines, and governance matters.
  • Attend and manage resources at quarterly Board meetings and committee meetings as needed.
  • Coordinate Board logistics: calendars, agendas, meetings, conferences and events.
  • Serve as primary contact for Board leaders and members for information and assistance.
