Job summary

Coda Search in New York City seeks a Director of Finance to oversee FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning. You will partner with business leaders to build revenue and expense projections and influence decision making.

Responsibilities include managing monthly closes, creating financial models, preparing board packages, presenting updates to the Board, and coordinating with external auditors. CPA preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
• 10+ years accounting experience, public or private.
• Experience with general ledger, financial analysis, and journal entries.

Responsibilities

• Oversee FP&A operations including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
• Own firm-wide budget process and partner with business units on projections.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Engineering, Product, Marketing, and HR on initiatives affecting financial reporting.
• Manage monthly close including revenues, expenses, T&E, equity, and taxes.
• Create full financial models and quarterly board packages.
• Present monthly updates to the Board of Directors.
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls; lead change initiatives.
• Create executive presentations of financial results for senior leadership.
• Support external audits and coordinate with auditors and service providers.
• Identify risks and maintain process documentation.
