Job summary

Weidmann Electrical Technology, Inc. in Middletown, OH is seeking a Process Engineer to provide engineering leadership for the board production facility. The role focuses on enhancing safety, quality, and productivity through process improvements and data-driven decision making.

You will lead trials, collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and external vendors, and mentor operators on best practices to sustain continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Paper Science or Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in manufacturing/industrial environment preferred.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Ability to train, mentor, and support employee development.
• Proficiency with data analysis, reporting, and technical problem-solving tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and technical leadership for the Middletown Board production facility to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
• Lead process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste.
• Plan and execute trials to optimize machine performance, lamination, and fabrication processes.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and data-driven methodologies.
• Identify operational improvements based on efficiency, safety, and cost considerations.
