Job summary

Salem Media Group Minneapolis is seeking a Board Operator for our four station cluster. You’ll handle live board operation, voice tracking, and production tasks in a fast-paced studio environment, gaining hands-on experience with broadcast gear.

Ideal candidates are tech-savvy, reliable, and comfortable overnight shifts or weekends. College education is preferred but not required; passion and punctuality matter most. Competitive pay and access to studio time are offered.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Windows-based computer systems.
• College education preferred, but not required — your passion and skill matter most!
• Flexibility for overnight shifts and weekends — radio never sleeps, and neither do we.
• Proven track record of reliability, attention to detail, and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Produce live and recorded radio and video programs and podcasts
• Deliver live on-air weather updates with confidence.
• Record voice tracks for other programming
• Operate and engineer the live broadcast boards, keeping shows smooth and professional.
• Execute station formats to keep our listeners engaged.
• Maintain accurate program logs, edit live spots, and handle various production and commercial audio tasks.
