Job summary

Memphis Veterinary Specialists (MVS) in Memphis, Tennessee, seeks a compassionate and skilled Board Certified or Residency Trained Oncologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality veterinary cancer care, and communicate effectively to build lasting client relationships with a team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff.

You will work closely with the Hospital Manager and Regional Manager in a multi-specialty, emergency center that values collaboration,

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from an accredited college/university.
• 1-year internship in small animal medicine, surgery, ER.
• Completed a 3-year AVMA-approved residency program.
• Current State Veterinary License.
• DEA registration must be obtained and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups.
• Communicate with clients and educate on diagnoses and treatments.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Prescribe medications and follow controlled substance protocols.
• Promote teamwork and staff efficiency.
• Collaborate with Hospital Manager on weekly priorities.
• Monitor hospital protocols from intake to discharge.
