PetVet Care Centers in Vienna, VA seeks a Board-Certified or Residency Trained Small Animal Internist to join our ER and specialty team. You will provide high-quality veterinary care, communicate with clients, and collaborate with experienced veterinarians and support staff.

Formación

• Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited college or university.
• 1-year rotational internship in small animal medicine, surgery, ER.
• Completed a 3-year AVMA approved residency program.
• Current State Veterinary License.
• DEA registration must be obtained and maintained.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality veterinary care.
• Excellent communication with staff and clients.
• Ability to reassure pets and owners when stressed or in pain.
• Some physical tasks and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsabilidades

• Comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups.
• Client communication and education.
• Maintaining accurate medical records.
• Pharmacy duties such as prescribing medications and handling controlled substances.
• Promote teamwork and staff efficiency.
• Collaborate with Hospital Manager on weekly priorities.
• Evaluate and monitor hospital protocols from intake to discharge.
• Attend daily rounds to uphold high standards.
• Participate in practice management updates and training.
