Job summary

Rogers Behavioral Health in Wisconsin is seeking a part-time BCBA to provide applied behavior analysis services within an inpatient setting at the Brown Deer campus. You will conduct FBAs, develop and implement BIPs, train staff, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support 24/7 care delivery.

Requires a Master’s in ABA/psychology or related field, BCBA certification, and at least two years of BCBA experience. CPR within 30 days, NCI within 60 days; RCC/CBRF compliance required.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in applied behavior analysis or related field.
  • Current BCBA certification in good standing.
  • Minimum of two years’ BCBA experience, including FBAs and BIPs.
  • CPR certification within 30 days of hire; NCI training within 60 days.
  • Compliance with RCC/CBRF requirements as applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct FBAs to identify function of challenging behaviors.
  • Develop and implement individualized BIPs based on FBA results.
  • Monitor BIPs and collect/analyze data to assess effectiveness.
  • Document progress and interventions in clinical records.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, therapists for integrated care.
  • Provide staff training on ABA principles and BIP implementation.
  • Participate in treatment meetings and crisis intervention as needed.

Schedule

Part‑time — 20 hours per week.

This position will support our patients on the Brown Deer campus with no additional travel. Pay is based on hours worked, not patients seen or billable hours.

Position Summary

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is responsible for providing applied behavior analysis (ABA) services to individuals with behavioral health needs within an inpatient setting. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing and implementing behavior intervention plans, providing training and support to staff, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary treatment team (therapists, RNs, mental health techs, doctors, etc.) to promote a safe and therapeutic environment supporting 24/7 care delivery.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) to identify the function of challenging behaviors exhibited by patients.
  • Develop individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on FBA results, utilizing evidence‑based strategies and techniques.
  • Implement and monitor BIPs, collecting and analyzing data to evaluate effectiveness and make necessary adjustments.
  • Document patient progress, interventions, and data in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, and therapists, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  • Escalate trends for program development and change to site leadership; share findings with the treatment team. Provide training and ongoing support to nursing staff, mental health technicians, and other team members on the implementation of BIPs and ABA principles.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings, providing clinical expertise and recommendations regarding behavior management.
  • Actively participate in workplace safety for patients and staff, including crisis intervention.
  • May supervise the work of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) or other Behavior Technicians, providing guidance and feedback.
  • Support team operations through additional responsibilities aligned with organizational priorities and Rogers Culture Agreements, including but not limited to supporting goal achievement and cross‑functional projects or initiatives beyond core responsibilities.
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines—follow ethical codes of conduct and maintain confidentiality in all interactions with patients.
  • Report and document suspected cases of physical, sexual abuse and/or neglect according to state law and System policy and procedure.
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrate a strong interdisciplinary approach and collaboration among departments.
  • Communicate assertively and accurately.
  • Receive feedback in a productive manner to further personal and professional development.
Education and Training Requirements
  • Master’s degree in applied behavior analysis, psychology, or a related health field, within the state of practice.
  • Current and recognized certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), within the state of practice and by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working as a BCBA, conducting FBAs and developing and implementing BIPs for individuals with a variety of behavioral health needs, preferably in a psychiatric inpatient setting.
  • American Heart Association CPR certification within thirty (30) days of hire; bi‑annual re‑certification is required.
  • Training in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) within sixty (60) days of hire/transfer; annual re‑certification is required.
  • Compliance with RCC and CBRF employee requirements, as applicable.
