Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a BCBA to lead behavior support programs across homes, schools, and communities in Eastern NC. The role includes mentoring staff, conducting assessments, and developing Positive Behavior Support Plans.

The position offers a hybrid schedule with regional travel 20–50% and telehealth support. Travel expenses are reimbursed, and the organization prioritizes professional growth and collaborative care.

Qualifications

• BCBA certification in good standing.
• Licensed Behavioral Analyst in NC.
• 1+ years working with children with developmental disabilities and/or autism (preferred).
• 1+ years in a supervisory or leadership capacity (preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and unrestricted driving privileges.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
• Ability to work effectively with participants, families, and teams in homes, schools, and community settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead behavior support programs fostering family engagement and measurable growth.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments and develop Positive Behavior Support Plans.
• Train and mentor staff, DSPs, and supervisors in ABA best practices.
• Collaborate across service lines (EMPOWER, ICOS, ABA) to maximize outcomes.
• Deliver in-service training and represent ESPH at professional conferences.

Salary

Travel Requirements

This role includes a variable regional travel requirement, estimated at 20%–50% per month depending on program needs. While telehealth services are also provided, you will primarily travel to support EMPOWER sites:

• New Bern
• Elizabeth City
• Ahoskie
• Greenville
• Morehead City
• Wilmington

All work-related travel is reimbursed via mileage pay, and, depending on cost-effectiveness, a travel vehicle may be provided. You’ll have flexibility to plan travel around program needs while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Minimum Qualifications
