Job summary

The Positive Regard Network in Holyoke, MA seeks a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide ABA services in Western Massachusetts private schools. This full-time, year-round role supports students with autism and related disabilities, collaborating with the Clinical Director, Education Director, and a team of Interventionists.

The BCBA will develop data-driven behavior plans, supervise staff, assist with IEP meetings, and ensure proper data collection and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from an accredited university.
  • At least one year of experience providing ABA services to children and adolescents.
  • BCBA certification required and to be maintained.
  • Adherence to BACB guidelines for Responsible Conduct.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure behavioral data systems are implemented to collect data at regular intervals and evaluate behavior plans.
  • Assist with developing educational data tracking, including discrete trials.
  • Provide ongoing support to Floor Managers and Interventionists on data systems and program implementation.
  • Collaborate with school community, including parents/caregivers, to address student progress and create effective plans.
  • Manage caseload and prepare documentation; participate in IEP meetings and document accordingly.
  • Possibility of providing clinical supervision to BCBA candidates.

Job Description

The Positive Regard Network (Holyoke, MA) seeks candidates for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

The Positive Regard Network is seeking applicants for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) position, 40 hours per week, 12 months per year, providing services in our Western Massachusetts private schools.

The BCBA works with the Clinical Director and the Education Director, along with a team of Interventionists and other professional staff, to provide a range of applied behavior analytic (ABA) assessment & services for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders & related developmental disabilities. In working with the educational team, the BCBA educates, observes, assesses & collaborates to create the educational activities and services that will assist our students to succeed.

Position Responsibilities
  • Ensures appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented such that quantifiable behavioral data is collected at regular intervals, to allow for the continual evaluation of behavior plans and the achievement of individual goals and objectives
  • Assists with developing and creating educational data tracking that may include discrete trials
  • Provides ongoing support to Floor Managers and Interventionists on the proper implementation of educational and clinical behavior programs and plans, data collection systems and all necessary monitoring and reporting systems.
  • Collaboration and consultation with various members of the school community, including parents/caregivers to address student progress and create effective plans
  • Effectively manages caseload and prepares all documentation in a timely fashion; participates in related IEP meetings and completes IEP documentation
  • Possibility of providing clinical supervision to BCBA candidates

The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from an accredited university, along with at least one year experience in providing ABA services to children and adolescents. BCBA Certification is required and certification must be maintained at all times. The BCBA is required to adhere to the Behavior Analyst Certification Board Guidelines for Responsible Conduct for Behavior Analysts.

  • Functional Behavioral Assessment process, including Functional Analysis.
  • Identifying/selecting and defining target behaviors to decrease and addressing appropriate replacement skills.
  • Selecting appropriate measurement systems to track growth or regression of skills.
  • An understanding of up-to-date practices, including skills-based treatment.
  • Graphing data through visual analysis and analyzing outcomes.
  • Making data informed decisions
  • Developing function based interventions
  • Competency based training
  • Naturalistic teaching and Discrete Trial Instruction methodology
  • Knowledge in assessment methods such as ABLLS, AFLS or VB-MAPP
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and must be able to work well as part of a team.
  • Experience in supervising behavioral technicians and conducting treatment integrity data
  • Supervision certification through the BACB is strongly preferred.
