Job summary

Capitol Care Inc. in Stanhope, NJ seeks a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to lead ABA services onsite, conduct FBAs, develop treatment plans, and oversee implementation.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Conduct FBAs, skills assessments, and other clinical evaluations as needed.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and revisions when clinically appropriate.
  • Disseminate assessments and plan developments for individuals served.
  • Provide training, oversight, and coordination with staff for monitoring and measurement of behavior.
  • Observe and analyze client progress; adjust goals and interventions accordingly.
  • Participate in ISP/accelerated planning and multidisciplinary meetings.
  • Oversee admissions, transitions, and discharge processes.
  • Supervisor role: train and supervise RBTs and provide ABA services.

Role Description

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is a full-time, on-site role located in Stanhope, NJ. The BCBA will conduct functional behavior assessments, develop behavior support and treatment plans, and oversee the implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies for individuals receiving services. Daily responsibilities include monitoring progress through data collection, analyzing behavioral data, and adjusting interventions as needed to support skill acquisition and behavior reduction. The BCBA will provide training and guidance to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and other team members, collaborate with families and caregivers to promote consistency across settings, and participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning. The role also involves maintaining accurate documentation, ensuring ethical and regulatory compliance, and contributing to ongoing program improvement.


Duties


  • Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs), skills assessments, and other clinical evaluations as deemed necessary.

  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and client needs and revision is clinically appropriate.

  • Dissemination of behavioral assessments/plan developments of individuals served when applicable.

  • Provides training, oversight, and coordination with staff performing monitoring activities in defining and measuring behavior; understanding principles of reinforcement; teaching new behavior; implementing strategies for weakening behavior; and identifying antecedents and consequences and consistently model appropriate.

  • Observes/Analyze client progress and adjust treatment goals and interventions as needed..

  • Participate in interdisciplinary/ISP meetings and contribute to coordinated care planning.

  • Conducts/oversees team screening admission evaluations and intake assessments; oversees the admission, transition, and discharge processes.

  • Serves as a clinical supervisor, implementing ABA themselves but also, training and directly supervising Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT's).


Skills


  • Extensive experience working with individuals with disabilities, particularly those on the autism spectrum or with neurodevelopmental disorders.

  • Strong knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavioral therapy techniques, and behavioral psychological assessments.

  • Proficiency in data collection methods, medical terminology, and maintaining detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards.

  • Experience conducting functional behavior assessments (FBA), functional assessments, and diagnostic evaluations for diverse client populations.

  • Ability to work effectively in home-based settings as well as school environments, demonstrating flexibility across different contexts.

  • Excellent client communication skills to explain treatment plans clearly and foster collaboration with families and educational teams.

  • Proven ability to provide clinical supervision while maintaining high standards of patient care in accordance with ethical guidelines.
