Job summary

Sheppard Pratt School in Glyndon is hiring a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to oversee behavioral assessment and intervention plans for students in the Autism program. You will train staff, supervise specialists, and work with teachers, families, and treatment teams to implement effective behavior supports.

Master's degree in ABA or related field and BCBA certification are required, with 2–3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

  • Requires Master's degree in applied behavior analysis, behavioral psychology, special education or closely related field.
  • 2-3 years of behavior assessment and management experience with assigned patient population and autism.
  • Possession of BCBA at time of appointment and continuously while in position.

Responsibilities

  • Complete functional behavioral assessments and behavioral intervention plans on all children assigned to the Autism program.
  • Prepare Positive Behavior Support and Management Plans and train staff in their administration.
  • Supervise Assistant Behavior Specialist(s) and Resource Specialist(s).

What to expect.

As a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) you:

  • Are responsible for the timely completion of functional behavioral assessments and behavioral intervention plans on all children assigned to the Autism program.

  • Depending on credentials and licensure, may work independently or under appropriate supervision by a licensed professional.

The pay range for this position is $58,401.82 to $90,195.04/year. Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience.

What we need from you.

  • Requires Master's degree in applied behavior analysis, behavioral psychology, special education or closely related field of study and 2-3 years' behavior assessment and management experience with assigned patient population and persons with developmental disabilities and/or autism.
    • Internal candidates with Bachelor's degrees and 4-5 years relevant experience will be considered, provided they are enrolled in Master’s degree programs upon hire into the position and remain enrolled until completion.
  • Work requires possession of BCBA at the time of appointment and continuously while in the position. Possession of supervision certification is a plus. Possession of LBA is a plus.
  • Requires experience with computer software, including Microsoft Excel, and data collection and analysis.
