Job summary

Legacy Treatment Services Group in Ocean County, NJ seeks a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to plan and provide behavior management programs for youth in a residential setting. You will collaborate with the Behaviorist Supervisor on plan development and staff training.

Responsibilities include conducting Functional Behavior Assessments, monitoring plans, ensuring documentation, and training staff involved in behavior plans.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Social Work, or Special Education and BCBA certification.
  • Three years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities involving behavior modification.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and provide behavior management programs for youth in a residential program.
  • Identify target behaviors and conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments with plan development.
  • Obtain approvals and consent for behavior plans and monitor all plans.

In conjunction with the Behaviorist Supervisor, the BCBA plans and provides behavior management programs for youth enrolled in the residential program. Provides related services to administrators, staff, parents, and the community as appropriate. Actively participates in the development and implementation of policies relative to the management of problematic behaviors. Identifies target behavior, conducts the Functional Behavioral Assessment as well as the plan development. Obtains all approvals and consents for the behavior plan. Monitors all plans, supervises all documentation, and is responsible for all training of staff involved in behavior plans.

Hours:

Position is full time with a flexible work schedule and includes the following:

  • 3.2 weeks of Paid Time Off during the first year

Education/Experience:

Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Social Work, or Special Education and BCBA certification. Three years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities involving behavior modifications. Prior experience developing, analyzing and implementing Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavioral Support Plans along with the data that supports the plan.
