HCA HealthONE Presbyterian St. Luke's in Denver, CO seeks a BMT Outpatient Clinic RN to oversee care for hematology-oncology patients and coordinate multidisciplinary treatment. You will manage chemotherapy/biotherapy administration, educate families, and collaborate with physicians and the care team.

The role requires a state-Colorado RN license, BMT/Oncology experience, and ACS/CPR certifications with ongoing education to support a cutting-edge transplant program.

Qualifications

• Chemotherapy Provider card
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
• One year of acute care experience required. Hematology-Oncology or BMT experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other health care team members.
• Ability to manage a team and work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Desire to provide compassionate, holistic care.
• ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse, state of Colorado
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct care of the BMT/Hematology-Oncology patient.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to provide well-coordinated patient care.
• The BMT Outpatient Clinic RN demonstrates high-level knowledge and competence with respect to hematologic malignancies and administration of chemotherapy and biotherapy agents.
• Appropriately manages side effects of treatment and engages the physician as appropriate.
• Provides patient and family education relative to the patient’s diagnosis and treatment process.
• Acts as an ambassador for the bone marrow transplant program when communicating with other healthcare professionals, payers, and the community.
• When the need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
