Job summary

Presbyterian/St Luke’s Medical Center within HCA HealthONE is seeking a BMT Outpatient Clinic RN to coordinate care for hematology-oncology patients, manage chemotherapy and biotherapy side effects, and collaborate across disciplines for seamless treatment. You will educate patients and families, advocate for quality care, and serve as a clinical ambassador for the bone marrow transplant program.

Required qualifications include a chemotherapy provider card, graduation from an accredited nursing

Qualifications

• Chemotherapy Provider card
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
• One year of acute care experience
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and care team
• Ability to manage a team to ensure quality care
• Strong critical thinking

Responsibilities

• Oversees and directs care of BMT or Hematology-Oncology patients.
• Collaborates with all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Manages side effects of treatment and engages the physician as appropriate.
• Provides patient and family education relative to diagnosis and treatment.
• Acts as an ambassador for the bone marrow transplant program when communicating with staff and external partners.
