Geisinger Cancer Center is seeking a Nurse Coordinator for the Bone Marrow Transplant program. This role coordinates patient care across the transplant process and collaborates with the transplant team to ensure high-quality care.

The successful candidate will manage patient records, participate in quality programs, and engage in staff education and mentoring. A nursing license and BLS are required, with specialized certifications pursued after hire.

Qualificações

• Education: Nursing specialty training completed.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Minimum nursing experience of 2 years.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate all aspects of patient care for bone marrow transplant patients with the transplant physician and multidisciplinary team.
• Establish rapport with patients, families, referring physicians, and operational support.
• Maintain complete and accurate patient records and reports to the Bone Marrow Transplant Registry.
• Coordinate screening, intake, pre-transplant assessment, stem cell collection, and transplant processes.
• Maintain quality management standards and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Review policies and procedures of the Bone Marrow Transplant Program.
• Contribute to budget planning and advocate for transplant reimbursement and billing.
• Educate and mentor staff involved in care and participate in professional development.
