Job summary

Kansas Health System is seeking a BMT Inpatient Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to manage BMT patients in acute or specialty care settings within the Internal Medicine Department. The APP will diagnose, develop care plans, administer treatments, and collaborate with physicians to ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include evaluating conditions, creating treatment plans, educating patients and families, and maintaining compliant documentation.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Physician Assistant or
  • Master Degree Nursing in Advanced Practice Nursing for APRNs. OR
  • Doctor of Nursing Practice from an accredited program in Advanced Practice Nursing for APRNs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage patients undergoing blood or marrow stem cell transplantation and other cell therapies.
  • Evaluate medical problems and request consultations when indicated.
  • Educate patients and families about preventive care and prescribed treatments.
  • Create diagnostically appropriate treatment plans.
  • Maintain documentation for coding and billing per standards.
  • Coordinate with physician and interdisciplinary team to ensure quality care.
  • Refer complex cases to collaborating physician as needed.
  • Prescribe and monitor medications; order emergency interventions as appropriate.

Master's Degree in Physician Assistant
Master Degree Nursing (APRN) in Advanced Practice Nursing
Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Advanced Practice Nursing
