Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System in Kansas City is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Hematology/Oncology to join the Westwood Medical Pavilion team. The APP will manage health problems, coordinate patient care, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with sponsoring physician under a Collaborative Practice Agreement.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in PA or APRN (or Doctor of Nursing Practice), and active KS/MO licensure with BLS

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Physician Assistant or APRN required.
• Active licensure as PA or APRN in KS/MO depending on practice location.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, Heartsaver category.

Responsibilities

• Manage health problems for patients undergoing bone marrow transplant (BMT) and coordinate care within acute or specialty settings.
• Evaluate medical issues in BMT with appropriate consultations when indicated.
• Develop diagnostically appropriate treatment plans and document evaluations and outcomes.
