Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a part-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to support the Bone Marrow Transplant and Hematology/Oncology service in Westwood, KS. The APP will manage patient care, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with physicians in a fast-paced specialty.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in PA or APRN, current licensure in KS/MO, BLS, and an advanced practice certification. Prior BMT or Heme/Onc experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in PA or APRN (Nurse Practitioner) required.
• Licensed to practice as PA or APRN in KS/MO (state-specific).
• Basic Life Support certification (BLS).
• Advanced practice certification required (within 1 year of hire).

Responsibilities

• Manage health problems of BMT hematology/oncology patients in acute or specialty care.
• Develop and implement medical plan of care in collaboration with sponsoring physician.
• Order tests, prescribe medications, and monitor patient responses.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and treatments.
• Document evaluations, diagnoses, procedures and outcomes per standards.
