Job summary

St. David's South Austin Medical Center, part of St. David's HealthCare, seeks a Registered Nurse Bone Marrow Transplant Coordinator to guide patients and families through the cell therapy journey in Austin, TX.

You will coordinate donor workups, communicate plans of care, and partner with physicians and the CT program to optimize outcomes. Required BSN, active RN license, BLS, and BMT-CN or ONC certification within 2 years.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as Registered Nurse in stem cell transplant/hematology nursing OR prior transplant coordination.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse; BLS.
• Certification in BMT-CN or ONC within 2 years of employment; preferred upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Optimize patient outcomes and quality of life throughout the cell therapy process.
• Liaise between patient, referring provider and CT program; coordinate donor/pre-transplant workups.
• Educate patients and caregivers on transplant process and post-transplant issues.
• Collaborate with transplant provider and other health care teams to establish a care plan.
