Job summary

UofL Health, Inc. in Louisville, KY, seeks a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (PA or Acute Care APRN) for its Blood Cancers, Cellular Therapeutics and Transplant program.

The inpatient 16-bed unit requires strong clinical skills and interest in oncology. This academic environment emphasizes staying current with cancer treatments, completing certifications, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PA program with current national certification.
• Current licensure in the state of Kentucky and/or Indiana.
• Current ACLS/BLS certifications.
• Subspecialty or oncology experience is strongly preferred.
• MSN degree from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure in Kentucky as an APRN.
• National certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or previous experience in the BMT/oncology field.
• Current, unrestricted DEA certificate.

Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Conduct comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments, formulate treatment plans, and manage symptoms/side effects for complex blood cancer patients.
• Clinical Duties: Detail-oriented, handle admissions, write prescriptions, interpret diagnostic tests, and manage survivorship programs.
• Collaboration: Participate in multidisciplinary conferences and communicate with collaborating physicians.
• Research and Education: Support evidence-based nursing practices and participate in clinical research.
