Job summary

Michigan Medicine is seeking an Advanced Practice Professional (NP or PA) for a 0.6 FTE role rotating between Adult Inpatient Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplantation and the Outpatient Migration Program. You will provide direct care for adults with malignant hematologic disorders under a collaborative team.

The position requires NP/PA certification, Michigan RN licensure, and 4 years of inpatient BMT APP experience within the past 6 years, along with BLS/ACLS and DEA registration.

Qualifications

• Current specialty certification to practice as an Advanced Practice Professional (NP or PA) with appropriate state licensure.
• 2) 4 years inpatient BMT APP experience in similar environment in past 6 years.
• Active Michigan RN license and NP/PA credentialing.
• BLS and ACLS per AHA.
• DEA registration required.

Responsibilities

• Rotate between BMT/CT and Outpatient Migration Program.
• Direct care of adults with hematologic malignancies under supervision.
• Perform history, exams, orders per CPG; admissions, discharges, and education.
• Recognize and treat sepsis, GVHD, CRS, IEC-EC, ICANS, cardiomyopathies; transfusions.
• Perform bone marrow biopsy/aspiration and related procedures.
• Review labs/radiology; discuss with team; participate in clinical trials.
• Facilitate inpatient-outpatient transition and continuity of care.
• Attend workshops/CME; participate in program meetings.
