Job summary

Global Connect Technologies is seeking a highly motivated BMS System Test Engineer to support validation and verification activities for Battery Management Systems used in electric vehicles, energy storage, or battery-powered products.

The engineer will work with hardware, software, controls, and validation teams to ensure reliable BMS functionality under various operating conditions. This role focuses on system-level testing, HIL validation, CAN diagnostics, and battery integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or related field.
• 3+ years in BMS testing or automotive system testing.
• Strong knowledge of lithium-ion battery systems and BMS functionality.
• Experience with CAN protocols and diagnostic tools.
• Hands-on with HIL systems, test benches, or automated validation setups.
• Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink and embedded testing.
• Good debugging, analytical, and documentation skills.
• Awareness of ISO 26262 and automotive validation processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute system-level test plans for BMS.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
• Conduct HIL and bench-level testing for battery systems.
• Validate protection features like over/under-voltage and over-current.
• Analyze CAN logs, diagnostics, and test results for root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Automate test scripts and validation processes using Python or CAPL.
• Support verification of SOC, SOH, balancing, charging, and thermal management.
• Use CANoe, CANalyzer, Vector tools, MATLAB/Simulink, or dSPACE for testing.
• Maintain test documentation, validation reports, and defect tracking.
• Support vehicle-level or pack-level integration and validation.
• Ensure compliance with automotive quality and safety standards incl. ISO 26262.
