Job summary
NXP Semiconductors is seeking a BMS Product Definer Engineer to translate market opportunities and customer needs into product requirements for next-generation BMS ICs and system solutions. You’ll work across hundreds of interfaces, from customers and system architects to validation and software teams, to shape the portfolio.

Qualifications
- 5+ years in product definition, systems engineering, semiconductor product development, BMS, electrification technologies.
- Experience with automotive OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, battery manufacturers, semiconductor companies and industrial energy storage providers.
Responsibilities
- Define next-generation BMS semiconductor products, chipsets, and reference architectures.
- Create and maintain PRDs, functional specs, and use case definitions.
- Translate customer requirements into actionable product requirements and feature sets.
- Analyze trade-offs including performance, safety, power, die size, cost, scalability and development effort.
- Drive decomposition from system to subsystem and IC-level requirements.
- Align product requirements with available tech, IPs, schedules, and business objectives.
