Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Deputy Engineering Leader (BMS and EMCS) to lead a small team delivering building management and energy management solutions for mission‑critical facilities.

You will guide engineering, oversee design and commissioning, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence across projects. The role requires strong BMS platform knowledge (Niagara, Desigo, EcoStruxure) and experience with BACnet/Modbus, HVAC systems, and data centers.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of BMS control systems and programming concepts (ladder logic, structured text).
• Ability to review, guide, and approve work from others.
• Experience leading teams, coordinating resources, and delivering projects on time.
• Proven troubleshooting skills for complex automation and integration challenges.
• Excellent communication with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day leadership for a small team of BMS controls engineers and field technicians.
• Coordinate engineering and field resources across multiple projects and schedules.
• Mentor engineers, support skill development, and prepare for higher responsibilities.
• Lead design reviews, project gate checks, and technical reviews.
• Guide requirements development, system architecture, detailed design, implementation, and commissioning.
