Control Solutions Group, Inc. in New York City seeks a Building Management Systems (BMS) Controls Sales Estimator to join our New York City team.

In this role, you will collaborate with engineering and sales to review MEP drawings and determine the full scope of building automation projects, developing cost estimates for labor, materials, electrical installs, and panel fabrication, while managing subcontractor bids and creating technical proposals under strict deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EE, ME, CE, Math or Physics.
• 2-3 years of estimating experience in Building Management and Temperature Controls.
• Ability to treat sensitive information with confidentiality.
• MS Office proficiency and knowledge of estimating software.
• Visio and AutoCAD a plus; CRM and Bid Tracer a plus.

Responsibilities

• Learn HVAC and BMS fundamentals with the engineering team.
• Review MEP drawings to determine BMS scope of work.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates including labor, materials, and panel fabrication.
• Gather pricing from vendors and subcontractors for comprehensive bids.
• Maintain subcontractor coverage and timely bid submissions.
• Create technical proposals for sealed bid packages.
• Collaborate across functions to manage cost factors for customer outcomes.
