Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Basic Machine Operator / Rad Tech for the Urgent Care Float Team in Clearwater, FL. The role combines imaging support with front and back-office duties on a travel-ready float team across Pinellas, Pasco, Hillsborough and Polk counties.

Responsibilities include assisting with patient exams, x-ray services, EMR maintenance, and ensuring regulatory compliance. BLS within 30 days and Florida BMO are required; high school diploma required, with preferred Medical

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required; Technical Medical Assistant is preferred.
• Must obtain BLS within 30 days of hire and Florida BMO certification.
• Experience: 2 years Medical Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient examination, procedures, treatment and x-ray/imaging.
• Handle patient histories, routine lab procedures and sample preparation.
• Follow up on test orders, report results, maintain EMR and patient education materials.
• Maintain medical equipment and order clinical supplies; support front and back-office duties.
• Travel to satellite locations; extended hours including evenings and weekends may be required.

BayCare is currently in search of our newest Basic Machine Operator / Rad Tech who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. Position Details:

• Location: Float

• Status: Pool (non-exempt)

• Twelve (12) hour shift 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM Monday through Friday

• 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday (or until the last patient leaves) with two days on, then two days off rotation.

• This will include every other weekend (Weekend Differential may apply)

• Float Team: This Pool position will require travel to satellite locations providing own transportation (submitted, approved mileage reimbursable) throughout Pinellas, Pasco, Hillsborough & Polk Counties. Sometimes this is with minimal notice.To compensate for the travel expectations, you will receive an additional $2.00/hour above your base rate when working & mileage reimbursement.

Basic Machine Operator is responsible for the following:

• Assists providers with patient examination, procedures, treatment, and x-ray/imaging services.

• Responsible for patient histories, routine lab procedures and preparation of specimens for transport to the lab.

• Follows up on test orders and reports results to provider and patient, provides and maintains patient education materials, maintains medical equipment, and orders clinical supplies.

• Creates and maintains patient electronic medical record (EMR).

• Complies with all applicable regulatory agency regulations.

• Supports both front and back-office duties.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Position may require travel to other sites depending on patient volume and clinic needs.

• Ability to work extended hours including evenings and weekends.

Required Certification or Licensure includes BLS Certificate and Florida Basic Machine Operator (BMO).

Required Certification and Licensure:

• BLS (Basic Life Support) within 30 days of hire and

• Florida Basic Machine Operator (BMO)

Education:

• Required High School or Equivalent;

• Preferred Technical Medical Assistant

Experience:

• Preferred 2 years Medical Assistant
