Job summary

A leading health services organization is seeking a passionate Basic Machine Operator to assist providers with patient exams and maintain medical records. The role requires a high school diploma and certifications in BLS and Florida Basic Machine Operator. Ideal candidates will have 2 years of medical assistant experience and strong customer service skills. This full-time position offers a range of benefits, including health care and tuition reimbursement, and operates Monday to Friday with opportunities for extended hours.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

The Basic Machine Operator Is Responsible For The Following

• Assists providers with patient examination, procedures, treatment, and x‑ray/imaging services.
• Responsible for patient histories, routine lab procedures and preparation of specimens for transport to the lab.
• Follows up on test orders and reports results to provider and patient, provides and maintains patient education materials, maintains medical equipment, and orders clinical supplies.
• Creates and maintains patient electronic medical record (EMR).
• Complies with all applicable regulatory agency regulations.
• Supports both front and back‑office duties.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Position may require travel to other sites depending on patient volume and clinic needs.
• Ability to work extended hours including evenings and weekends.

Required Certifications & Licensure

Certification or licensure includes BLS Certificate and Florida Basic Machine Operator (BMO).

Licensure

• BLS (Basic Life Support) within 30 days of hire
• Florida Basic Machine Operator (BMO)

Education

• Required: High School or Equivalent
• Preferred: Technical Medical Assistant

Experience

• Preferred: 2 years Medical Assistant
