Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Basic Machine Operator in Riverview, FL to support patient care and imaging services. The role involves assisting providers during exams, preparing specimens, and maintaining EMR records, with travel to other sites as needed.

The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent and Florida BMO along with BLS within 30 days. Some evenings and weekend hours may be required, with full-time, nonexempt status and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Florida BMO and BLS within 30 days.
• Preferred 2 years as Medical Assistant.
• Ability to work extended hours including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assists providers with patient examination, procedures, treatment, and x-ray/imaging services.
• Responsible for patient histories, routine lab procedures and preparation of specimens for transport to the lab.
• Follows up on test orders and reports results to provider and patient, provides and maintains patient education materials, maintains medical equipment, and orders clinical supplies.
• Creates and maintains patient electronic medical record (EMR).
• Complies with all applicable regulatory agency regulations.
• Supports both front and back-office duties.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Position may require travel to other sites depending on patient volume and clinic needs.
• Ability to work extended hours including evenings and weekends.

Position Details

• Location: Riverview, FL
• Status: Full Time (non-exempt)
• Twelve (12) hour shift 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday (or until the last patient leaves) with two days on, then two days off rotation. This will include every other weekend (Weekend Differential may apply)

Required Certifications and Licensure

Certification or Licensure includes BLS Certificate and Florida Basic Machine Operator (BMO).
